EDUCATION  / MONTGOMERY COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Out of all of the entries nationwide, this project received the CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Gold Award.  We'd like to share a quote from the judges:

The judges were unanimous in their opinion about this video - they loved it. The importance of scholarships were told from the perspective of a diverse group of students. Their voices were extremely authentic and we connected with every one of the students chosen. Even though there were a lot of voices, the producers managed to tie everything together well in the edit room, including music choice. It was beautifully shot and very emotionally moving. One of the judges even considered giving to this college, their plea was so impressive!

Celebrating a 50-year anniversary and launching a scholarship fundraising campaign, Montgomery County Community College commissioned this 7-minute video that shares stories of scholarship impact using a powerful real-person storytelling approach.

storyshop worked with campaign consultant Steege-Thomson to co-produce the project. Tom Keiter served as co-producer, director, writer; Joe Myers served as director, camera.  storyshop also provided event consultation.
